Frequently Asked Questions
Products & Model Selection
Q: "What are medical clogs and who are they recommended for?"
Dr. Moon medical clogs are professional footwear designed for healthcare personnel – doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists – but also for anyone who spends long hours on their feet. They are made from antibacterial materials, with an anti-slip orthopedic sole, providing comfort and safety throughout the work shift.
Q: "What is the difference between the Airmax and Confort models?"
The Airmax model features an advanced sole ventilation system, ideal for long treks in hot or high-humidity environments. The Comfort model uses memory foam in the sole, which perfectly molds to the shape of the foot, providing superior cushioning. Both models have an orthopedic anti-slip sole and antibacterial materials.
Q: "What are medical Crocs and how do they differ from regular Crocs?"
Dr. Moon medical Crocs-style clogs are made of high-quality, medical-grade EVA, unlike household Crocs. They are waterproof, lightweight, easy to disinfect, and resistant to chemicals used in hospitals and clinics. Available in unisex options, in multiple colors.
Q: "Are Dr. Moon clogs suitable for people with orthopedic problems?"
Yes. All Dr. Moon clogs are designed with an anatomical sole that supports the arch and evenly distributes pressure on the foot. They are especially recommended for people with plantar fasciitis, hallux valgus, knee or back pain caused by prolonged standing. For severe conditions, we recommend consulting a specialist before choosing a model.
Q: "What clogs do you recommend for doctors and nurses?"
For doctors and nurses working 8-12 hour shifts, we primarily recommend the Airmax (maximum ventilation) or Comfort models with memory foam. Both have certified non-slip soles and antibacterial materials that comply with hospital hygiene standards. The Airmax Women's model is most chosen by nurses, and the Comfort Men's model by doctors.
Q: "What are Comfort Flexi clogs and what is the advantage of the flexible sole?"
Comfort Flexi clogs are designed with an ultra-flexible sole that naturally adapts to every foot movement, reducing muscle tension and fatigue. Unlike rigid clogs, the flexible sole allows for a more natural walking motion, similar to barefoot walking. They are suitable for both professional use and daily activities.
Q: “What differentiates Dr. Moon orthopedic sneakers from regular sneakers?”
Dr. Moon orthopedic sneakers integrate a plantar arch support system and a superior cushioning sole, specific to orthopedic footwear, within a modern sports design. Unlike athletic sneakers, these are optimized for prolonged standing and prevent foot, knee, and back pain associated with daily work.
Size & Fit
A: "How do I choose the right size for Dr. Moon clogs?"
We recommend measuring your foot length in centimeters and consulting the size chart available on each product page. As a general rule, if you are between two sizes, choose the larger size. Dr. Moon medical clogs have a slightly more generous cut than regular shoes, which ensures optimal comfort throughout an entire shift.
Q: "Do you have medical clogs in large sizes, over 41?"
Yes, the Dr. Moon collection is available in sizes from 35 to 46, including large sizes 41, 42, 43, 44, and 45. Men's clogs are available in the full range of large sizes. Please check availability on each product page, as stocks for large sizes sell out quickly.
Q: "Can I return the clogs if they don't fit?"
Yes, Dr. Moon offers free returns within 14 days of delivery if the product has not been used and is in its original condition, with intact packaging. The return process is simple: contact us via WhatsApp or email, receive the return label, and send the package. Refunds are processed within 7-14 business days.
Q: "Do Dr. Moon medical clogs mold to the shape of the foot over time?"
Yes, especially the memory foam models (Comfort) progressively mold to the foot's shape during the first 2-3 wears, providing personalized comfort. Airmax models have a fixed anatomical cut, but their flexible materials also adapt easily. It's normal for there to be a short break-in period during the first few hours.
Q: “Can I wear Dr. Moon clogs with socks or compression stockings?”
Yes, all Dr. Moon clogs are designed with enough room to be worn comfortably with standard socks or medical compression stockings, which are frequently recommended for medical staff. If you wear thicker compression stockings, we recommend choosing one size larger than your standard size.
Materials & Hygiene
Q: “What materials are Dr. Moon medical clogs made of?”
Dr. Moon medical clogs are made from high-quality antibacterial materials, resistant to moisture and chemical disinfectants. The exterior is made of PU (polyurethane) or breathable textile materials, the sole from anti-slip rubber or EVA, and the interior from anatomical foam covered with certified antibacterial material.
Q: "How to clean and disinfect Dr. Moon medical clogs?"
Dr. Moon clogs can be cleaned daily with a cloth dampened with a medical-grade disinfectant solution (chlorhexidine, 70% isopropyl alcohol, or quaternary ammonium-based solutions). Crocs-type EVA models can be washed directly under running water. It is recommended to avoid concentrated chlorine-based disinfectants for PU models to prevent material damage.
Q: “Are Dr. Moon clogs certified for medical use?”
Yes, Dr. Moon medical clogs comply with European safety standards for professional protective footwear. The materials used are CE certified and antibacterial tested. Certificates are available upon request for medical institutions requiring documentation for the procurement of personal protective equipment.
Q: "Does the non-slip sole really work on hospital floors?"
Yes. The sole of Dr. Moon clogs is tested on wet and dry surfaces specific to medical environments – linoleum, ceramic tiles, epoxy flooring. The sole's friction coefficient exceeds the minimum standard of 0.4 imposed by European norms for protective footwear in hospitals. The sole's special grooves efficiently drain water to prevent slipping.
Q: "Are Dr. Moon medical clogs resistant to chemicals used in hospitals?"
Yes, the outer materials of Dr. Moon clogs are resistant to common cleaning and disinfection chemicals used in hospitals: alcohol, Betadine, diluted sodium hypochlorite, enzymatic solutions, and neutral detergents. Rinsing is recommended after prolonged contact with concentrated chemicals to maximize product lifespan.

Care & Durability
Q: "How long do Dr. Moon medical clogs last under normal use conditions?"
Under normal professional use conditions (5 days/week, 8-12 hours/day), Dr. Moon clogs have a lifespan of 12-18 months. This lifespan can be extended by rotating two pairs alternatively, regular cleaning, and proper storage. The sole is the first element to wear out – when the sole's grooves become smooth, we recommend replacement for anti-slip safety.
Q: "Can I wash Dr. Moon clogs in the washing machine?"
All Dr. Moon clogs should be cleaned by hand with a damp cloth and clean water, without detergents, chemicals, or abrasive substances. After cleaning, wipe with a dry cloth and allow to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources or sunlight. We do not recommend using a washing machine for any model, as this can affect the shape, materials, and functional properties of the clogs.
Q: “Dr. Moon is a new brand – why should I trust its products?”
Dr. Moon is a brand specialized exclusively in medical and orthopedic footwear, created by professionals with experience in the field. Our products are CE certified, tested in real medical use conditions, and reviewed by hundreds of healthcare professionals in Romania. We offer complete transparency: certified materials, a 14-day return policy, and a 30-day warranty.
